There was an “incident” which required police presence. I was asked to stop taking photos by the friendly officer pinning the guy to the ground. I took a few more shots and then got bored of the entire situation. Police have no lawful purpose to stop you photographing them in a public place, they also cannot legally make you delete photographs of them, so, like, whatever, right?

Another new Hobo gallery. This time from Dan Deacon at The Zoo on Friday night. Stopped into this show for “10 minutes” in between the Clash of The Titans artshow and the afterparty. It was one of the most fun-filled live shows that I’ve ever shot, period. Dan really works his audience.

So after partying all night following the Brisbane Nevereverland, and then a mad dash to the airport (via home to grab my chargers, laptop and a spare shirt), I found myself slightly delirious and smelly as hell, sitting on a 9am flight to Perth. How I get myself in these situations I’ll never know, but what I do know is that there was no time for any form of real rest. Another day, another festival – and a fucking great time to be had by all. Thanks must go to Pav for being a lord!

What started out as a shitty day (running late, then broken lens) ended up being a fucking rad day. Kudos to Modular for putting on a really solid line up. I discovered some new favourite bands at this festival, and the intimate, yet solid line-up meant that all the wankers stayed at home.
